Metro South Health is working on the First Nations Health Equity Strategy 2025-2028. We want to hear from our consumers and the community including our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce to help make it better.
We will do this in three rounds:
Round 1: What are we doing well? What can we do better?
Round 2: Reviewing our first draft of actions for health equity
Round 3: Final review of actions for health equity.
We are asking you to give feedback on six key priority areas to be addressed by the strategy:
Actively eliminate racial discrimination and institutional racism within the service
Increase access to health care services
Influence the social, cultural and economic determinants of health
Deliver sustainable, culturally safe and responsive health care services
Work with First Nations peoples, community and organisations to design, deliver, monitor and review health services
Strengthening our workforce.
How you can give feedback
You can provide your feedback in one of three ways:
By online survey
In-person during a workshop
By print survey
To RSVP for an in-person workshop or request a print survey, contact the First Nations Health Equity Team by email msh_fnhe@health.qld.gov.au.
Consultation Round 2 (opens 10 September 2025)
Your feedback will help us build a stronger, fairer health system for First Nations peoples—now and into the future.
