You also need to be vaccinated against measles, mumps, rubella, whooping cough (pertussis), chicken pox (varicella) and hepatitis B. We can help you get vaccinated before you start if you need to.
Our service hours are 6 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday and your shift patterns will be the same every week.
Our shifts are 3 to 4 hours long however we can be flexible.
If your shift is 4 hours or longer you'll get:
We ask that you commit to at least one shift per week for the first 6 months. After that we'll talk about your experience and work out ongoing shifts.

Once received, we will be in touch to talk about your application and what volunteer roles we have.
Before you start, we'll do your criminal history and reference checks. We'll need your written consent and proof of identity documents, such as your driver's licence, passport, proof of age card or Medicare card to do these.
We will give you orientation and training for the role you will be doing.
Our volunteers wear a Metro South Health branded Polo shirt or a vest over regular clothes.
